I am Marc Alexandre LePhénix, a lifelong lover of cinematography and storytelling. Born into the French language, where I’ve had the honour of winning youth literary contests in my childhood, I now find myself reaching into English to shape my first novel. This blog serves as an introduction to who I am and what drives me, but it is also my workshop – a place to experiment, to fail, and to refine, as I search for a voice that is entirely my own.
There are two essential conditions to good storytelling: images and sound. The flicker of light across a darkened room, the whisper of a line that lingers long after the credits fade. I’ve spent my life trying to capture both – to craft words that carry not only meaning, but texture and rhythm, like a film reel unspooling in the mind. My hope is that each story I write unfolds in your imagination with its own vivid colors and silent echoes.
